About me

Hello! I’m Abat, a 20-year-old software developer hailing from the serene town of Taqıyatas in the Republic of Karakalpakstan , an autonomous republic of Uzbekistan. My journey from a small town with limited resources to the hustle and bustle of the tech world is nothing short of inspiring.

My Origin

Born amidst the cultural richness of Karakalpakstan, my initial passions were languages and the literature of my native tongue. I believe in the power of words and stories, which was the primary reason I embarked on a journey to study English literature at a local university. However, destiny had other plans.

Discovering the World of Programming

During my last year of high school, I stumbled upon the exciting world of programming. My humble beginnings in this vast domain started with HTML through an app called SoloLearn. It wasn’t just about codes and algorithms; it was about building something from scratch, a power I hadn’t realized before. As I dived deeper, PHP, backend development, and more complicated layers of the tech world unfolded before me.

Taking the Leap into the Tech World

While many would hesitate to leave a structured path, I took a leap of faith and left university to pursue my passion for programming. This choice led me to work on a startup, build one of the few software products in my native language, and eventually land a job in a bustling agency in Tashkent. Here, I wore multiple hats - from front-end and back-end development to managing Linux servers. It was at this place that I realized the essence of software development - making lives easier.

Startups & The World Beyond

A twist of fate brought me to work with experienced engineers, including ex-Amazon and ex-Meta professionals, at a fast-growing startup. The responsibility was immense, but so was the thrill of seeing my contributions directly impact end-users. While working in a high-pressure environment, I still managed to follow my dream of studying abroad.

Today & Beyond

Currently, I’m studying Computer Science at ELTE, one of Hungary’s finest universities, on a fully-funded Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship. Balancing studies and part-time work with my previous startup team, I’m excited about the infinite possibilities the future holds.

From my small town in Karakalpakstan to the digital world, every moment has been a learning experience. And this journey has just begun!
